Experience
Dr. Ramirez brings extensive experience from community mental health settings, working with individuals and families. She has additional training in supporting neurodiverse clients (including ADHD and ASD) and those facing challenges with substance use. She emphasizes the therapeutic relationship and customizes her interventions to meet each client’s needs. Her practice draws from humanistic theory, utilizing an attachment lens, and integrates evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support clients in meeting their goals.
Education
Dr. Ramirez earned her master’s and doctorate in psychology from Nova Southeastern University. Prior to her graduate studies, she received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida. Dr. Ramirez has conducted research on sexual identity and the psychological impacts of infidelity. This work directly informs her evidence-based therapeutic approach, allowing her to guide clients through relationship transitions and foster growth and resilience.
